The Magic of Coole – a guided walk
Experience the mysterious landscape celebrated by poets and artists. This free guided walk will incorporate nature, poetry, folklore and a bit of history. Meet at Coole Visitor Centre at 11am. The walk will last about 1.5 hours.

Bat Walk at Coole Park

Culture Night in Coole: The Woods and Grandma
For Culture Night 2018 Coole Park is hosting a fantastic performance: The Woods and Grandma- Part gig, part theatre, part documentary, this verbatim pop-opera exhumes its singing ghosts from the transcript of a 2002 RTÉ interview with Lady Gregory’s Granddaughters, Anne (aged 90) and Catherine (aged 88), who were raised in Coole Park by their grandmother. Open Your Eyes to Nature
Our weekly summer event 'Open your eyes to Nature' will return with our first event on Wednesday 11th July. This is a great way for kids to learn more about nature around them in the idyllic setting of Coole Park. Each week will be different- you could be learning about Trees, Butterflies and Moths, Pond Dipping, Flowers, Bug Hunts, Animal Tracking, Traditional Skills as well as Arts and Crafts. Magic of Coole Walk
On Sunday 3rd June at 3pm we will have a walk in Coole. Come along to experience the mysterious landscape that inspired Yeats to write some of his most famous poems, in particular, ‘The Wild Swans at Coole’. This free guided walk will incorporate history, folklore, poetry and nature. Starting from Coole Visitor Centre the walk will last approximately an hour and a half. No booking is required. Ireland’s National Biodiversity Week 2018 – Coole Park EVENTS
We have many events lined up for Ireland's National Biodiversity Week in Coole. On Saturday 19th we will have a Bat Watch Event with local NPWS Ranger Raymond Stevens. There will be an illustrated talk about bats at 9pm in the visitor centre followed at 9.30pm by a bat walk leaving from the visitor centre car park.
