Experience the mysterious landscape celebrated by poets and artists. This free guided walk will incorporate nature, poetry, folklore and a bit of history. Meet at Coole Visitor Centre at 11am. The walk will last about 1.5 hours.

Our weekly summer event 'Open your eyes to Nature' will return with our first event on Wednesday 11th July. This is a great way for kids to learn more about nature around them in the idyllic setting of Coole Park. Each week will be different- you could be learning about Trees, Butterflies and Moths, Pond Dipping, Flowers, Bug Hunts, Animal Tracking, Traditional Skills as well as Arts and Crafts. On Sunday 3rd June at 3pm we will have a walk in Coole. Come along to experience the mysterious landscape that inspired Yeats to write some of his most famous poems, in particular, ‘The Wild Swans at Coole’. This free guided walk will incorporate history, folklore, poetry and nature. Starting from Coole Visitor Centre the walk will last approximately an hour and a half. No booking is required. We have many events lined up for Ireland's National Biodiversity Week in Coole. On Saturday 19th we will have a Bat Watch Event with local NPWS Ranger Raymond Stevens.
