  Our weekly summer event 'Open your eyes to Nature' will return with our first event on Wednesday 11th July. This is a great way for kids to learn more about nature around them in the idyllic setting of Coole Park. Magic of Coole Walk

The Woods at Coole

On Sunday 3rd June at 3pm we will have a walk in Coole. Come along to experience the mysterious landscape that inspired Yeats to write some of his most famous poems, in particular, ‘The Wild Swans at Coole’. This free guided walk will incorporate history, folklore, poetry and nature. Starting from Coole Visitor Centre the walk will last approximately an hour and a half. No booking is required. We have many events lined up for Ireland's National Biodiversity Week in Coole. On Saturday 19th we will have a Bat Watch Event with local NPWS Ranger Raymond Stevens. There will be an illustrated talk about bats at 9pm in the visitor centre followed at 9.30pm by a bat walk leaving from the visitor centre car park.
