Yesterday, Today & Tomorrow: A Timeline of Coole Trees
Coole Park Nature Reserve is home to a rich variety of tree species many of which are the legacy of the Gregory family and many of which are of high conservation urgency. To celebrate National Tree Week join us for a free guided walk to learn about the history and ecology of some of our exotic and native trees and how we can preserve our woodlands for the future. Mad about Moths!
Did you know that we have approximately 1500 species of moth in Ireland? And that some fly by day? And some have no wings at all! If you'd like to learn more about our beautiful array of nocturnal pollinators and how we monitor them in Coole Nature Reserve, pop in to see our display in the Visitor Centre on: FRIDAY 16th FEBRUARY. Entry is free. We are open from 10am - 5pm (closed 1-2pm). All welcome.

For Valentine's Day, February 14th, in Coole, take a stroll through our enchanting Nature Reserve and spot our love hearts featuring some love poems from the historic literary folk of Coole and the love lives of its present day inhabitants.
WORLD WETLANDS DAY 2024
Join our NPWS conservation and guide staff on a free guided walk and bird-spotting event this Friday 2nd February to learn about the ecological importance of our wetlands and the biodiversity they support.
